The Michigan Fidlar eByte: October 2017
We are pleased to announce that the Fidlar County Partner, Benzie County Register of Deeds, Amy Bissell, has been awarded the 2017 Register of the Year in Michigan.
Amy has 27 years’ experience working in the Register of Deeds Office. She began her career in the Benzie County Register of Deeds office in 1990 as Chief Deputy. Amy then went on to become the Register In January of 2009.
During her time as a county official, Amy has worked tirelessly for the betterment of MARD and the Register of Deeds Office. She is recognized by her peers for giving 100% throughout the last six years while serving on the MARD leadership board. Amy also served as the 2016 MARD President. She worked diligently on a statewide level to keep the Register of Deeds Office from being merged with the County Clerks Offices. Amy also advocated for and contributed to the implementation of a predictable fee bill within Michigan.
