The Indiana Fidlar eByte: March 2017
We are pleased to announce that Marshall County has fully transitioned to the AVID land records management system. Recorder Marlene Mahler was interested in updating the technology in their office and with AVID they will be better prepared to execute eRecordings, reduce paper shuffle and improve the efficiency and integrity of Marshall County’s recording process.
Marlene also decided to integrate the new assisted-indexing feature, iNSPECT, which identifies key index information and presents it to the user. The process of indexing is advanced with the addition of touchscreen functionality, users now interact with documents in a completely new fashion. The intelligence of iNSPECT works to diminish the possibilities for human error, all the while increasing the integrity of the data in process. With iNSPECT, Recorder Marlene Mahler will take her office and the Official Public Record into the future.
“We had seen AVID previously and knew that it would work well for us so we decided to switch. Even though the basics and the information you enter were the same, the manner in which you enter it is completely different. We were nervous about the change but our Project Manager, Kelly Seibert, trained us very well and was fantastic to work with! She was here when we went live and spent a week with us, making sure everything was working well for us. As always, Fidlar has proved to us that making the Recorder’s job more efficient is their number one priority, and believe me, we think they do it very well!” – Marlene Mahler, Marshall County Recorder
