The “Compact Search” option in Laredo trims spaces and punctuation. For example, to allow for a search for “Wal Mart” to find “WalMart” or “Wal-Mart”, you would want the Compact Search option checked “on”.

With the new Laredo v8 and Laredo Anywhere, you can set up Saved Searches on the desktop client to be alerted whenever a new document matches your search criteria. This alert can be sent via text message, giving you the ability to log onto the Laredo Anywhere site on your phone and view the search.

Tip of the Month

In the new version of Laredo, subscribers will be able to manage their own Iris alias lists to create more efficient searches. With the Iris feature, users can link multiple spellings, abbreviations and more to one search criteria to ensure they are finding all the relevant records they need. For example, a search for First National Back could search for variations like 1st National Bank, First Ntnl Bk, and any other variation the user has added to their Iris Alias List.
