It comes as no surprise to us that many of our county partners do more than just record Deeds — they perform goodDEEDS. We thought it would be a great idea to share as many of these stories as possible. By doing so we hope to raise awareness of the various charities and organizations they contribute to. We want to build their momentum and effectiveness in achieving their very important goals.
We’d like to thank Kristi Chlebowski, Dane County Register of Deeds, Wisconsin, for her charitable efforts. Kristi has committed a large amount of time to doing volunteer work in parts of the world outside of the United States. Through an association known as Outreach For World Hope (OWH), she has been able to travel to Guatemala to assist with establishing long-term sustainability for individuals and families. Additionally, the area requires a sustainable sources of nutrition for children and their mothers.
Kristi has put forth extra effort to raise awareness of the cause in the area surrounding her along with other charity organizations. One charity group she contacted, Vitamin Angels, works to assist at-risk populations – particularly pregnant women, new mothers and children under five. The organization informed her that they were going become a corporate donor for the region that she had volunteered with.
With the sponsorship of Vitamin Angels, Kristi was able to secure an unlimited supply of nutritional vitamins, along with a much needed parasite medicine called Albendazole. The supplies will be an immense help to these Guatemalan families. The sponsorship will also allow OWH to save thousands of dollars over the next few years which can be allocated to other areas in need. Additionally, this new supply will improve the nutritional status of countless people and increase their well-being indefinitely.
We would like to thank Kristi for her efforts and recognize her charitable achievement.
