It comes as no surprise to us that many of our county partners do more than just record Deeds — they perform goodDEEDS. We thought it would be a great idea to share as many of these stories as possible. By doing so we hope to raise awareness of the various charities and organizations they contribute to. We want to build their momentum and effectiveness in achieving their very important goals.
We’d like to thank Linda Oda, Warren County Recorder and her staff for their charitable work this last Holiday Season. The office decided to put forth both a food and a pajama drive to aid the efforts of the Warren County Children Services. The region of Ohio where Warren County sits has been struck with an opiate crisis, which has drastically increased the need for the local Children Services resource. Often times, when the department is summoned during the night, the children they assist are without pajamas, and some have even been without dinner.
As the Holiday Season approached, the Recorder’s Office staff decided to do something different from their annual ornament exchange. Knowing the need for resources with Children Services, they proceeded to collect nearly 1,000 pairs of children’s pajamas along with numerous tubs of canned food from the community. These items were then donated to help assist the at-risk children of Warren County. The drive was a great success and the staff plan to do something similar next year.
We would like to thank Linda and her staff for donating their time to the community.
