It comes as no surprise to us that many of our county partners do more than just record Deeds — they perform goodDEEDS. We thought it would be a great idea to share as many of these stories as possible. By doing so we hope to raise awareness of the various charities and organizations they contribute to. We want to build their momentum and effectiveness in achieving their very important goals.

We would like to recognize Myka Bono Sample, Circuit Clerk, Saline County, Arkansas, for her charitable efforts this last Holiday season. Myka, along with her staff, participated in monthly volunteer activity to raise money for the Sunshine Fund. The fund was created by Myka and her staff so that they could provide charitable goods to the local community.

To build the 2018 Sunshine Fund, each staff member would pay $5.00 to participate in Sunshine Day. Then, each monthly Sunshine Day would be themed to include things like Razorback day, Circuit Clerk t-shirt day, school color day, and tennis shoe day. As the year-end approached, the office selected to provide Christmas gifts to the Pleasant Hill Day Care in Benton, AR.

The Sunshine Fund had enough money raised to provide gifts to nine elderly adults. Myka and her staff were able to personally deliver the Christmas gifts and were humbled by the appreciation they received from the individuals at Pleasant Hill Day Care.

We would like to thank the Saline County Circuit Clerk staff for dedicating time and effort to contributing to their community and beyond.
