It comes as no surprise to us that many of our county partners do more than just record Deeds — they perform goodDEEDS. We thought it would be a great idea to share as many of these stories as possible. By doing so we hope to raise awareness of the various charities and organizations they contribute to. We want to build their momentum and effectiveness in achieving their very important goals.
We would like to recognize the Piatt County Clerk/Recorder’s Office, IL, for their commitment to the local community. Staff members recently volunteered at the annual “Wrap it Up!” gift-wrapping fundraiser in Monticello, IL. The fundraiser was started by the Maple Point Supportive Living facility in 2014. The four-day event provides a gift-wrapping service to the public. The goal of the fundraiser was to raise money for the activity department at Maple Point as well as community organizations that provide helpful services to those in need.

Every year, the customer base for “Wrap it Up!” grows larger and so does their need for volunteers. This year, the fundraiser volunteers wrapped more than 1300 packages! The Piatt County Clerk/Recorder’s Office and the Piatt County Mental Health Center used this volunteer opportunity as a team building opportunity for their staff to give back to their communities.
We would like to thank the Piatt County Clerk/Recorder’s Office for dedicating time and effort to contributing to their community and beyond.
