It comes as no surprise to us that many of our county partners do more than just record Deeds — they perform goodDEEDS. We thought it would be a great idea to share as many of these stories as possible. By doing so we hope to raise awareness of the various charities and organizations they contribute to. We want to build their momentum and effectiveness in achieving their very important goals.

We’d like to thank Kristi Chlebowski, Dane County Register of Deeds, Wisconsin, for volunteering her time and energy with Outreach For World Hope (OWH). Through her association with OWH, Kristi was able to travel to the Chiquimula region of Guatemala to perform missionary relief work. This particular location was chosen due to the fact that the region suffers from a chronic shortage of rainfall which results in drought conditions and long-term famine.

While in Chiquimula, Kristi was able to help create sustainable agriculture programs by planting approximately eighty fruit trees and many gardens. A health assessment was performed which allowed for 540 children and adults to be treated for parasites. Essential supplies such as water filters, toothbrushes, shoes and clothing were also dispersed to more than 245 families. Additionally, they assisted with building fourteen outdoor cooking stoves which residents will use to make their own meals.

Outreach For World Hope is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian group with the direct objective of improving the quality of life for the world’s less fortunate. The organization works to establish long-term sustainability for individuals and families living within impoverished areas.

This endeavor marks Kristi’s fourth time doing missionary work, we would like to thank her for donating her time and efforts.
