It comes as no surprise to us that many of our county partners do more than just record Deeds — they perform goodDEEDS. We thought it would be a great idea to share as many of these stories as possible. By doing so we hope to raise awareness of the various charities and organizations they contribute to. We want to build their momentum and effectiveness in achieving their very important goals.

We would like to thank Sherry Muncy, Macon County Recorder, Missouri for her charitable efforts within her community. Sherry has dedicated herself to many years of volunteer work within the city of Macon and the surrounding areas. Most recently, she has become active with the Macon County Food Pantry of Macon. Volunteers at the pantry pack and prepare food items for individuals and families in the area. Sherry works behind the scenes to help keep the pantry’s efforts advancing. Her involvement with the pantry started when she became a member of the Macon County Lions Club. As a Lions Club member, she served as First Lady President for three years. The Lions Club is one of the many local affiliates of the pantry.

Prior to becoming a Lions Club member, Sherry was the Board Secretary of the Macon County Senior Center for eight years. While volunteering during this time she delivered meals to homebound senior citizens throughout the county. As a board member, Sherry contributed her efforts to acquire a grant from the state of Missouri to get a new Senior Center built in Macon.

We would like to thank Sherry for her efforts and for donating her time to the community.
