It comes as no surprise to us that many of our county partners do more than just record Deeds — they perform goodDEEDS. We thought it would be a great idea to share as many of these stories as possible. By doing so we hope to raise awareness of the various charities and organizations they contribute to. We want to build their momentum and effectiveness in achieving their very important goals.

We’d like to thank Cathy Ann Stacey, Rockingham County Register of Deeds, New Hampshire, for her charitable efforts towards her community. Cathy served as a member of the Salem Tunnel to Towers Committee which worked for eighteen months to raise the sum of $23,000.00 to bring the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Never Forget 9/11 Mobile Exhibit to Salem, New Hampshire.

This was the first time that the exhibit had been displayed publicly in New England, making it a significant educational tool for those who viewed it. From September 19th to the 23rd, the mobile exhibit was on display. During that time more than 9,000 people were able to tour the 1,000 square foot space which is contained within a 53″ tractor-trailer.

Attendees were given tours by four retired New York City firefighters who were at ground zero during the events of September 11th, 2001. The exhibit offers artifacts, timelines, videos and significant educational information to ensure that future generations “Never Forget” the tragic event that occurred on 9/11.

All donations raised by the exhibit are contributed to the Homes for Heroes effort which builds “smart homes” for seriously injured military service people. The organization also provides financial assistance and scholarships to families of police officers and firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty across the United States.

We would like to thank Cathy for her efforts and for donating her time to the community.
