Fidlar Technologies is proud to feature Shawnee County, where the Hands Free Microfilm service is steadily and consistently increasing the overall longevity and efficiency of the county’s recording efforts. Hands Free Microfilm, an automated imaging solution, allows documents to be archived as they enter your office’s digital repository. Continually progressing behind the scenes, the conversion process requires no focus from a county’s staff, freeing up their time for other tasks. Fidlar Technologies and Shawnee County have worked together to create a more streamlined, efficient workflow on a day-to-day basis.
Becky Nioce, Shawnee County Register of Deeds, and her office signed on with Fidlar Technologies’ Hands Free Microfilm at the end of 2018. Since then, they have been scanning day forward. With around 25,000 documents being managed every year, Becky and her office will save immeasurable time having the Hands Free Microfilm process working passively in the background. The convenience such a service offers counties, both big and small, is hard to overlook, especially considering the minimal effort the county staff must put forth throughout the procedure. As the microfilm is finalized, it is first shipped to Becky’s office and then onto an external storage facility for safekeeping.
While some options require that a county office spends a large amount of time creating physical media or transferring images to an FTP site, Hands Free Microfilm is truly hands free. County offices no longer need to be involved in the physical creation of data discs, or with manually transferring images to a microfilm vendor. Fidlar Technologies and US Imaging step in and alleviate the office of all related concerns. With configurable options for when and how often document images are sent and burned to microfilm, Hands Free Microfilm is versatile and flexes to any office’s needs. Hands Free Microfilm provides an invaluable level of efficiency to all counties, whether the county is mandated by state law, or simply by the convenience such a service would provide.
“Fidlar Technologies and the Hands Free Microfilm service have been a pleasure so far. Mark Lystiuk, the Kansas Partnership Relationship Manager, has provided great communication throughout the process. We don’t have to worry about anything, our documents are automatically being microfilmed for us! Hands Free Microfilm has already saved my office some good money, and I’m glad Mark helped us realize the savings that could be had. I look forward to the efficiency it will continue to bring to the table for us.”
