Fidlar Technologies is proud to highlight Buffalo County, where education is an important part of their day-to-day commitments. In an ever-changing digital world, it is of utmost importance that counties provide the very best tools available. Laredo and Laredo Anywhere offer unmatched document research tools, whereas Property Fraud Alert is an industry-leading warning system that is completely free to citizens through their County Register of Deeds office. Knowing how best to utilize the tools available to your county is paramount to staying ahead of the curve.

Carol Burmeister, Buffalo County Register of Deeds, knew there were potential eRecording customers in the region that could benefit from the service who, perhaps, didn’t realize the service existed. Organizing a day of education focused on these two systems, Carol set out to better her constituents through information. With the help of Fidlar Technologies’ own Raquel Posateri and Simplifile’s Michelle Wilsey, they covered eRecording’s ease of use and the many great features of Laredo, including Laredo Anywhere’s mobile capabilities – allowing remote eRecording work. Laredo provides a highly-enhanced and efficient search experience, including customizable searches, for constituents that perform searches daily.

Property scams are on the rise, and county constituents are at an alarmingly-high risk. Property Fraud Alert, an early warning system for home fraud, alerts customers whenever someone submits a document claiming ownership of their home. This scam is easily missed and harder to recover from, but with the help of Property Fraud Alert, county residents can rest assured that someone has their back. “I’m very happy with the turnout and the results of our education day. We’ve noticed a jump up to 40% eRecording since that day, and we signed people up for new services the very next morning … Raquel did a great job explaining Laredo to those in attendance; one customer didn’t even know eRecording was a thing and was ecstatic that we were able to provide these services!” -Carol Burmeister, Buffalo County Register of Deeds
